The two countries maintained positive relations and work cooperatively to combat drug trafficking in the Netherlands Antilles area. Principal U.S. officials in the Netherlands Antilles included Consul General Timothy J. Dunn, Vice Consul William J. Furnish, Jr., and Management Officer Donald Feeney. The U.S. Consulate General for Aruba and the Netherlands Antilles is located in Willemstad on the island of Curaçao.
